The Star, Poynters Lane, Great Wakering circa early 1900’s

Looking West from the junction of Star Lane towards North Shoebury House, which is hidden behind the long bungalow and the trees.  Of the other two black/white boarded cottages the one on the left was at one time a public house called The Star.  These three dwellings were owned by Mr Rayner for use by his farm workers and were all demolished in the 1950s
