Barling Blacksmiths Forge 1930

The blacksmith and two helpers are standing beside the forge.  In addition to shoeing horses he made tools and nails and repaired farm equipment.

Laying on the ground are the lengths of steel which would be used to create the iron tyre made into a loop and placed over the wooden wheels.

The houses and sheds behind the forge have now been demolished
